chemistry tattoos!

I'm in the process of trying to come up with a design for my second tattoo. Right now I'm considering the Schrodinger equation (though I haven't decided whether I like the time-dependent or time-independent form more) as well as a bunch of structures. I've tried Googling to see other people's nerdy ink designs, but every combination of "tattoo" and "chemistry" seems to lead to pages like this one about pigment chemistry. After a bit of searching, though, I did manage to find these. Enjoy!

I think this is adrenaline. Someone had it done on his back.

This looks pretty awesome, but I don't know if it's real or temporary. If it IS real, it had to have been done in pieces. Can you imagine how itchy that would have been while it was healing? I don't even want to think about it.

If you're on Myspace, this guy has what looks like a peptide done. Nice nipple piercing as well. :)

See? So hard to find, I only came across three. If you've had something like this done, send me a link!!! I'll post mine once it's, um, designed and done and healed...

More in the vein of real chemistry, this article mentions the possibility of monitoring blood glucose levels with a tattoo. Pretty awesome idea, especially if you're diabetic.

Tattoo is forever. I bet you will get tired of any formula soon after explaining its spiritual meaning for 112th time to some dude at the party who would not give a damn (about chemistry).

IMHO the only kind of tattoo that is worth the trouble reads: AB+ NOT ORGAN DONOR

A girl I knew in grad school had a string of water molecules h-bonded around her ankle. Very cute.

i am really amused that you think i have enough time or energy to party, though. (wish it were the case, but i barely have time to sleep.)

Awesome! Probably your best bet as far as sending me the picture is to send me a message on chemicalforums.com --that way I can reply with my email address.
Thanks!

I knew a dude with a buckeyeball tat on his shoulder. I don't need to say that he was not a hit with the ladies.
