The only problem is, neither of his methods for removing the illustrated protecting groups are not the most practical ways. Once in industry, management frowns on using HF or neat TFA. Not to mention, on my last project, TFA actually destroyed the molecule and I had to go to 3M HCl in ethanol. The joys of protecting group chemistry.
